About us

Environment, Peace, Security and Social Justice Center – SCOPE Nepal is non-profit making, non-governmental and service driven organization registered at District Administration Office, Kathmandu of Nepal. The organization was established in 2011. The organization came into existence with collective ideas of like-minded individuals who are expertise in human rights, peace, environment, security, media and social work. SCOPE Nepal mainly focuses itself to work in areas related to environment, public security and peace building.

SCOPE Nepal is based in Kathmandu and working in different part of the country through local partners, CBOs and focal persons. Currently the organization has two focal persons in Kailali and Kanchanpur. Every two years, SCOPE Nepal elects a new executive committee adopting democratic process among its general members. Organization has a good culture of changing leadership on periodic basis. It gives opportunity to new inclusive leaders to grow and lead organization with a new vision and creativity. Organization has equipped office and skilled human resource to run its activities smoothly and more than 15 regular college interns, volunteers for its regular campaigns and mass awareness activities. The organization has also been involved in implementing different humanitarian support programmes especially by volunteer service and providing books for schools to establish library in remote areas.


  • Strengthen the capacity of multilateral institutions to address issues related to environment and security, and engage frontline capable human resource for the effective policy interventions.
  • Create common spaces for people’s engagement to contribute social harmony and peacebuilding from grassroots to national level.
  • Establish networking of likeminded people, experts, advocate and campaigners for vertical and horizontal dialogues.
